Photoshop cannot open files

For the last week now every time I attempt to open a simple .jpg file on Photoshop, it opens but a white flashing screen appears in the place of my photo.

Please help, as I am unable to utilize this program like this and I use it mostly to fix my photos for my job.

I am using the desktop version of Photoshop and it is updated to the 24.4.1 version.

I have already attempted to uninstall and reinstall it, but there is no change

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews > Enable "Deactivate Native Canvas" > Restart Photoshop.

Also, I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to Photoshop for you.
