Photoshop CC 2023 looks very different after migrating to Mac Studio Max

I recently migrated from Mac Pro 2013 ( Cylinder ) to Mac Studio Max ( M1-silicon ).

The version was updated, and it now looks like a sharing version, the workspace is dramatically different.

Also, the migration of Lightroom Classic did not recognize the current catalog, and opened like it was the first time opening.  Of course, all the preferences were gone, custom file naminmg architecture, gone, and I'm sure there will be other discoveries.

Are you using the same versions of your software on the new Mac as you were on the old Mac? You can set your preferences just as they were. If your workspace is different, create your own custom workspace. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/workspace-basics.html

For Lightroom Classic, your custom file naming - did you rename files and folders? Those are written to disc, not just in the database and can't be lost. Maybe you are pointing to the wrong place?

"the workspace is dramatically different."

Sounds to me like you have installed Lightroom (the Cloud based version) and not Lightroom-Classic.

COMPARE LIGHTROOM & LIGHTROOM-CLASSIC FEATURES

An empty Catalog?  Either you started a new Catalog, or you did not transfer all the LrC necessary files from the MacPro

(Or- Lightroom would present an empty catalog if never used before.)
