Photoshop CC keeps freezing my computer

Whenever I open Photoshop CC, it freezes my computer so I have to force close my compute. However, Photoshop CC ends up working again after I restart my computer every time. This is very annoying and I'm not sure as to why it happens. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

what platdorm do you use Windows PC or Apple Mac. What do you do when you Force close you computer. Are yoa able to look at what you OS is doing when Photoshop is hungup? Have you tries just terminage the hung Photoshop and trier to start it again? You give us little to go on....

I use windows 10 and when I force close my computer, I hold down the power button. Everything is frozen including my mouse so I am unable to close it the correct way. Since it freezes everything, I can't check anything nor terminate it. Sorry for the little information that I provided, I'm pretty new at this.

Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+Del to see it you can get the task manger up so you can see what is going on and terminate Photoshop? Power shutdown is a last resort.

Yes I have tried that as well but it seems like my keyboard is not responsive when it freezes.

I also have Windows 10 and Photoshop freezes and is currently not usable. Photoshop will load but as soon as I try to load a photo to view/edit, it freezes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled while keeping preferences and I had the same issue. I then uninstalled and reinstalled deleting preferences and it worked for a day. Then today I tried to edit photos today and it was freezing again. So I uninstalled and reinstalled with deleting preferences and it did not resolve the issue like before.

Windows said that everything was updated but you were correct. I went to Device Manager and told it to look for an update and sure enough the display driver was outdated. Photoshop is working as it should now. Thank You!

Did you ever resolve? Photoshop works great for me (I use a Cintiq) but if I animate using photoshop...after 20-30 minutes the computer freezes and restarts. I even let Adobe tech get into my computer. We thought it was fixed but the next day...same deal... Anyone?
