I just signed up for a trial version of Adobe Creative Cloud with all the apps and downloaded Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat DC.  However I'm unable to do ANYTHING in Photoshop.  I can't even go to Preferences to disable plugins or try anything like that. If I try to open Preferences or even the Help - About window immediately I get the same error message:

  • Could not complete your request because of a program error

And then Photoshop is frozen.

Please help!  I removed an old install of a Creative Suite many years old when I upgraded to Mac OS Big Sur and now I can't even use the new version of Adobe software.

I've tried a LOT of troubleshooting via the forum and support docs as follows:

  • Deleting old settings and started Photoshop using Cmd-Option-Shift to try another method
  • Ran Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

Yes in fact... finally tried to run Photoshop with only a single monitor
plugged in and it worked. Hours of troubleshooting to find something so
simple. Oh well.
