Hi,
I have been using photoshop on my laptop for years and it's always been fine. Recently though, it still loads up quickly but when I load an image (It used to load up multiple images in a quick cascade) I get the spinning wheel of death and it sits there with "not responding" for five minutes or more before the image appears.
Any ideas? It does the same with older images that used to load instantly.
To be frank, this is twenty year old software, not updated since 2005 or so - but Windows changes constantly. Any Windows update can be expected to break it. If this had been a Mac, it would have stopped working altogether many, many years ago.
About the only thing you can do is reset preferences. Corrupt preferences can cause unpredictable and irregular behavior. Don't reinstall; it can't be activated ever again.
