Hey there, I'm new to photoshop so maybe this is an obvious question. I'm on Mac, and even when I've fully closed Photoshop, my computer says it is still "Using Significant Energy". The fans on my laptop are always running and my keyboard is always burning hot. Is there any way to solve this? I already tried turning off Cloud services in Creative Cloud, and I even tried uninstalling Creative Cloud, but nothing has changed. Please help!
Macbook Pro (15-inch, 2017) 3.1GHz Core i7
16 GB memory
macOS Monterey, version 12.2
Photoshop version 23.2.1
I ended up just uninstalling photoshop and reinstalling it right after and that worked. A little extreme, but it fixed the problem.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

That's not normal behaviour at all – it might be worth taking your laptop to a Mac specialist to have it checked out.
