Photoshop Droplet not working for MacOS Ventura

When I create a simple PS droplet, it will go to the desktop, but when I drag a .jpg photo to the droplet, it says the droplet is damaged. So then I open the droplet and close it and it seems to open Photoshop, but then it won't open a new image and save the droplet preset actions to a new image. 

 

I am in admin mode on my MacOS Ventura.

 

What else could it possibly be?

Hi @Samantha29451764ompg do not rewrite the droplet or adjust your Photoshop.

This is a known Ventura issue.

 

  1. Go to Finder and select your droplet.
  2. Right-click and open.
  3. The error message will come up. Click open.

  4. This will open in the Droplet app (Mac Ventura).
  5. Quit the app and your droplet will now work.
    @Ranjisha Sengupta you should note this for any future reports of broken droplets.

Right-Click on the Droplet in the Finder. Click OPEN. The droplet should
work after that.

Normally the outlined steps work without needing to update the Security in Mac System Prefs. Odd that it asked for permissions. Did you create the droplet or download from the web?

All droplets are created locally on the machine. I would like to distribute them through our MDM eventually, but I am expecting that to come with all of its own obstacles.

This action shortcut has been used by me and coworker for months, if not over a year now. It's now impossible to use on either of our computers. We've both tried the new versions of Photoshop, uninstalling & reinstalling, rebooting, recreating the action on different versions of Photoshop, and nothing works. We still get this error:

 

“CONVERT-TO-GRAYSCALE” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

 

I originally thought this was just an issue on my computer, but the fact that it's also happening to my coworker and another person who's laptop I borrowed to try it out means it's an issue with Adobe.

 

All of us are using macOS 13.0.1 - the only thing in common, though, between our computers.

 

Any ideas?

This is a known issue from Ventura:

Here's how to fix:

1. Select droplet.

2. Right-click and choose Open.

3. Click open on the error screen.

4. Go to Droplet app menu/Quit.

 

The droplet will now work.

Bonjour, depuis la mise à jour de mon MacBook vers macOs 13.1 je ne peux plus faire de Droplet !

PS, CC2023 ou CC2022, les fabrique bien correctement mais quand je les lance pour les utiliser un message s'affiche "« DROPLET TEST » est endommagé et ne peut pas être ouvert. Vous devriez placer cet élément dans la Corbeille."

 

Avez-vous une solution à me proposer ?

This is a mac issue.

  1. Go to Finder and select your droplet.

Just a size modification and a dark/light tone adjustment then the deposit of the new file in a specific folder created by the Droplet

But while doing your manipulation, I put the image on the Droplet, it launches but here are the error messages I get "Error: The command "Image size" is not available. (-25920) "

Eh bien à priori il s'agit d'un problème de mise à jour de MacOs et de Photoshop !
Apple à mis à jour son OS pour passer à Ventura 13.1 et celui-ci est plus exigeant contre les Malwares, et il considére les Droplet conmme des Malwares !
Et P¨hotoshop n'a pas encore fait de mise à jour pour contourner ce problème 😬

Well, it seems to be a problem of MacOs and Photoshop update !
Apple updated its OS to Ventura 13.1 and this one is more demanding against Malwares, and it considers Droplet conmme Malwares!
And P¨hotoshop hasn't updated yet to get around this problem 😬

I used to do the CTRL / open trick, but on Sonoma and the Mac Studio it does not seem to work anymore. But I found this solution: 

  1.  Open system settings
  2. Go to Privacy and Security
  3. Choose Accessibility
  4. Press the + button
  5. Now choose the droplet in the File Manager and press Open (at least that's what shows in Dutch, I hope it's the same in English)
  6. I think I had to restart Photoshop

You should be able to use the droplet now...

I just upgraded an iMac to OS X Sonoma14.5 and this same issue exists. The work around of right clicking the droplets and opening them does work but Adobe has still not addressed the issue of ensuring the droplets work after OS upgrade. It would be nice if this matter could be addressed and a fix created.

@PS-Guru the issue is with Apple increasing security not Adobe. Its affecting more than PS droplets.
