Photoshop eats C-drive memory even though I'm using a SSD scratch disk

I'm using Photoshop on a Microsoft Surface Pro 9 and using an SSD with about 1TB as my scratch disk. However, everytime I use Photoshop, it only take a few minutes for it to use up about 10GB on my C-drive. Is there any way to avoid this?

@Kimota100 how large are the documents you're working on, if you're working on large documents 10GB and more would be quite normal

The files that I'm working on aren't that large, about 50 MB, but I'm sure there's a lot of processing resources being used.
