Photoshop extremely slow to run or crashing when using certain tools

Anyone having issues with PS? Just the last few days I've noticed my PS will be slow/jerky when I zoom in and out, and it hangs when I try to use the patch tool. I've checked my memory performance in task manager while using PS and it doesn't use much memory (it's using around 8gb), I have these issues no matter what I do and whether or not I have anything else running, I usually always have LR running at the same time (I am a photographer and use both for photo editing) but even if I only have PS running, I am having these issues.

I run a fairly new AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU with 32gb RAM and an 8gb GFX card, with a SSD (m.2) Windows install drive (over 240gb free).

Any help would be appreciated!!
