I have a synology nas which I use to store my photos on.
I have recently found that when I open files from my NAS using photoshop 2022 it takes forever to load up the folders / files.

it only seems to happen with photoshop, I can find music files easily.

dxoes anyone have any suggestions to speed this up

Hi there,

We're sorry for the trouble experienced due to lag in file search in Photoshop.
What is your operating system? From when are you noticing this? If you open from any other source do you see a lag?
Check this article to resolve most of the freezing and lag issues in Photoshop: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-slow-lags.html

Let us know if that helps.
Thanks. ^RS

Was it always like this? I do know that Photoshop does *not* like working with files over a network (which has always been the case). See more here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/networks-removable-media-photoshop.html

If you must work over a network, make sure *everything* in the chain is fast, from the storage type (preferably SSD) to the network topology being used (preferably Ethernet).
