Photoshop for iPad - dodge and burn

Does photoshop for iPad released on November 4, 2019 have dodge and burn tools? Testing out the app to do a full photo edit and can't seem to locate it. Thanks in advanced!

No, there is no Dodge or Burn tool on iPad version of Photoshop...

A matter of facts, it ain't much you can do with this in version 1.0... Almost everything is missing on iPad...

Thre is no Dodge and Burn in Photoshop on the iPad yet.

This is the beginning. The first version of Photoshop on iPad is focused on compositing, basic retouching, and masking, common tasks and workflows that we know will be useful for most Photoshop users. Over time, we’ll add more capabilities and workflows as we learn more about how customers use Photoshop on a mobile device.

We’re releasing with a set of features we know all Photoshop users will need and plan to add capabilities as we see how customers use Ps on the iPad. While leveraging the same code base helps accelerate development, we’re also deeply committed to rethinking every experience for the pencil and touch screen to give you the best Photoshop experience possible no matter what environment you work in. We know we have more work to do and we encourage you to share what’s important to you after you’ve tried the product.

I hate to say this, but if you want full Photoshop capabilities on the iPad , you have to go with the app called Affinity Photo . I wish Adobe what put out a full working version of Photoshop for mobile but as of right now I can't do what I need to do in the application. Affinity Photo pretty much does everything the Photoshop desktop version does.

Unfortunately, no. They've told me that this first release is missing both, and assured me that they will be adding them and other features as we the users tell them what we want and need.

lol and it still isn't added.... and it's may 2020. Those are "basic" tools for retouching as well for any photo editing app... even the most basic app has those ...

D&B on the iPad is as easy as making a color fill layer of 50% gray (add a solid black layer, then add a solid white fill layer, dial the white layer to 50% opacity and merge it with the black layer). Set this merged layer to "soft light" mode. Then paint directly on this layer with a brush set to low opacity (5%-10%) using white as your color for lightening, and black for darkening.

This is a joke, right? You made a funny? It's not "as easy as" anything, that's an unnecessarily long and convoluted process to mimic an actual tool in full photoshop that Adobe promised 3 years ago for the iPad and still hasn't delivered. Instead, we get layer tricks on what is essentially an app capable of applying instagram filters

Aww, you seem like such a lovely person.

You can now use D&B the destructive way, using Adobe's new dedicated tool, or you can do it the way I described last March, like professional retouching studios do, where I have been working since 2004.
