It may not be feasible (at least for now) to add Liquify to Photoshop on the iPad, but how about Transform> Warp as a workaround?  (Being able to manipulate an image using Liquify — or Warp — is a basic image editing feature.)

Hi Andrea31514722z5el,

Just to know more on the issue can you please try creating or opening an RGB file which is < 8192 X 8192 pixels & check if the Liquify tool is enabled or not?

Current limitations:

Liquify is disabled for Text layer, Smart object, Grey Scale, Lab Color,CMYK, Layers size more than 8192 X 8192 pixels & Mask

@andrea31514762mgpn Currently there are some limitations of the Liquify filter on iPad.

Liquify is disabled for:
Text layer, Smart object, Grey Scale, Lab Color,CMYK, Layers size more than 8192 X 8192 pixels & Mask
Are you using liquify other than above mentioned list ?

EDIT #2: on Aug 1, 2023, Adobe announced that Liquify is available on mobile.

@Revanth Rayakanti

Liquify is not available on Photoshop for iPad — only for Photoshop (for desktop). It is listed in the "What's Coming" section, so we know the developers are working on it.

Being able to liquify with the pencil in PS Mobil would be amazing! The spot healing tool is amazing with the pen and I was hoping for the same feature with liquify.  AND all the photo actions honestly... but specifically Smart Sharpen

Hi! Is liquefy available in the Photoshop ipad app? If it is, I can't find it. Any suggestions for a tool in the app that does something similiar?

I used the liquify tool often on my desktop for edits, I was so excited when I heard about Photoshop coming to the iPad, the flexibility of editing on the go is such an asset to my business. Adding Liquify to the iPad version of PS would give me the ability to work anywhere, please add in future updates!

I agree. It is essential for retouching, especially on the go... for creators who bought an iPad Pro just to be able to edit on the go - not having this feature is pain staking!

Yes, Liquefy is needed. Regarding *pete_b_28vgv42av7mxl, original opener, “It may not be feasible (at least for now) to add Liquify to Photoshop”, honestly, Adobe, I can’t see why it wouldn’t be feasible — ArtStudio Pro, Affinity Photo and Procreate have had some form of “liquefying” option for ages now. There is zero reason why Adobe does not have this implemented in their mobile version of Ps.

In Ps for iPad, you can make selection and from the paint bucket tool choose "Contenet Aware Fill"

OmarFathy_0-1665771247972.png

After making selection, options bar appear in the bottom with "Content Aware" & "Mask" options

You can also get more options from the Layer options and the sidebar in the right.

It also has adjustment tools to liquify:

Liquify on iPad/Photoshop is... a web mess: I try to look for it online and i find completely unreliable sources. It seems it's already available, but i cannot find it in any place on current Photoshop version.

The Photoshop help system in iPad is incredibly unprofessional for a professional (high cost!!) suite: there's not even a way to search within the manual: I cannot believe this! You need looking online for unofficial sources and you only get confused. There's even a LinkedIn training by Tony Harmer that shows a Liquify feature on iPadOS Photoshop, but the version seems old/different and I cannot find it in any way on my May 2023 updated version, on my M2 iPad.

Please Adobe add this feature soon and (by far) better manage the help system.

Cannot believe Adobe is such unclear on this critical feature...

If you did not see the answer in the thread you started two hours before posting here, Photoshop for iPad has Content Aware Fill. Here's your thread:
