I have to download files for work, anytime I have to download large files, for example over one to two GBs photoshop freezes up untill the download is complete. I am using a 2019 iMac OS 11.6 Big Sur, PS 2021, I also have 128GB of ram, and my internet speeds are 400mbps download, 25mbps upload.

When Photoshop crashes/freezes, this is the first thing to do, try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. You can also reset preferences upon a quit if Photoshop is running by going into General Preferences>General>Reset on Quit.
