Photoshop freezing and crashing

Hi there,

I have been having stability issues with photoshop for over a year, however, it has gotten much worse in the past couple of weeks. I have tried almost everything pointed out in other posts. I have rolled back the version of photoshop to the last semi-working one, updated graphics and Wacom drivers, and upgraded to Windows 11 (due to CPU controller for new-gen performance and efficiency cores, I thought might be an issue). I have done a clean install on Photoshop and all drivers mentioned above. I have seen the suggestion for unticking the GPU acceleration however this disables canvas rotation which is vital in my line of work and cannot work without it.

System Specs:

Intel Core i9 12900k 3.19 GHz

ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming WIFI 6E Motherboard

32GB (2x 16GB) Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 5200MHz

Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity 24GB GDDR6X PCI-Express

(none of the parts overheats or is strained as per stats from my task manager and temperature monitoring software)

I have a Wacom Intuos Pro M and a Cintiq 16 connected to the computer and I switch between the two depending on the task.

In regards to the freezing and crashing sometimes the app would crash and would show as crashed on my task manager, however in most cases it just freezes and doesn't do anything else - my only option is to force it closed via TM as the app wouldn't close in any other way. It is very rare that the system for recovery would actually save my work and is becoming very frustrating to lose work constantly. Sometimes the freezing happens every couple of minutes, sometimes it takes an hour or two before it crashes. I do try and save every five minutes but it is not sustainable to keep constantly saving and then losing 3-4 minutes worth of work for every 10.

Please advise on how this can be fixed as I need to use the software for educational purposes and ongoing assignments.

Hi, I am unable to launch photoshop in safe mode as it can't verify my subscription

The Creative Cloud software verifies the account status on Adobe servers once a day. If the account is in good standing (that is, payment is up-to-date) when the last verification happens, the software status refreshes to run for at least 99 days offline with an annual subscription. Month to month, much less!

Can you let us know if you did submit a crash report with the Adobe reporter? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html 

Could you please post the contents of Photoshop's Help>System Info... menu, so that we getmore details, such as, the date of the GPU driver, the plugins installed, if you use Wintab or windows ink, etc.
If your post disappears, do not repost it, as it might need to be approved by a moderator. As an alternative you can save it to a .txt file on your computer and attach it on your answer via the forum. (attachments do not post from e-mail)

Also, what kind of operation do you typically perform when it crashes? 

I hope we'll be able to find the cause of your issue...

I have since disabled windows ink, which seems to have resolved the issue, no major problems since, however, pressure sensitivity gets disabled every couple of strokes (I have put the config file for it in the photoshop folder). I didn't get to the crash report window as photoshop would just freeze, sometimes reflected in the Task Manager, sometimes not. I would be unable to do anything to the program. I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html That will help us diagnose the crash. 

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hi @CoryShubert,

I have submitted the photoshop system info in a reply above. I haven't had the submit crash report window open up at all. Photoshop would simply freeze and I would be unable to save my work or even close it unless I end the task in Task manager. I have tried waiting it out for hours multiple times. Now that windows ink has been disabled it seems that the freezing has stopped, but am experiencing lag in the brush strokes (they only appear once I lift up the stylus). I would lose pressure sensitivity every few strokes and today I woke up to pressure sensitivity not working at all (PSUserConfig file set up in the  Photoshop Settings folder). Any assistance would be much appreciated.
