Photoshop Freezing Opening Raw Files

Recently discovered that opening RAW files in Bridge that defaults to PS, causes PS to freeze, and I have to restart my laptop. I'm on the latest versions PS (24.41), Bridge (13.0.3). Also Camera Raw recently updated to 15.3. I hadn't noticed the latter in my list before, as it wasn't something I had used. Do I need this for RAW support when opening RAW files in PS, or can it be delayed. The issues seemed to have started after the 15.3 version was installed. 

If I can't do this then Bridge and PS are absolutely useless to me. I'm in the middle of a small business launch, and this issue is delaying that. 

I am using an HP Laptop with Windows 11 installed.

First go into Camera Raw Preferences (can be accessed from Photoshop or Bridge), and uncheck "use graphics processor". If that stops the freezing, we can try to narrow it down from there. This is most likely a GPU issue.

Each new version moves more and more functionality over to the GPU, and requirements tighten. If you go to Help > System Info and paste the whole thing in a reply here, we may be able to spot immediate problems.

The Camera Raw plugin is required to open raw files. Photoshop can't do that on its own.

Well, the first thing that pops up is that the driver is 42 months old. So see if there is a recent driver first.

The RX Vega 10 is an integrated GPU with Ryzen CPUs, which in itself is not an optimal solution for Photoshop/ACR. You really should have something with more power. It's also getting old, released in 2017.

The general guideline for Photoshop has been a GPU with a benchmark score of minimum 2000 ops/sec. The RX Vega 10 scores a little over 800. This GPU has probably been borderline for a while already, and with new GPU calls and functions in the new version, it crossed the line. You may need to revert to the previous Photoshop/ACR version if you can't get it to work with a new driver.

I have gone back to a v23 version of PS, and still the same issue. I guess it's the version of Camera Raw that may be the issue, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option in Creative Cloud to go back to earlier versions. At the moment the only solution appears to be a new laptop, which is extremely frustrating.
