Photoshop freezing while using Save As M1 Pro

Hi there, I've recently changed up to M1 PRO and had a lot of issues with Photoshop, which made me change the app to the BETA version (that aparently has more issues fixed).

I've still experiencing a ton of issues tho, but the most frustrating one is that sometimes when I am trying to Save As or Save for Web, the app just freezes on the finder window where we select where it will be saved.

I literally have no way to fix unless I force quit Photoshop and reopen. Which led me to lose some work at times.

Please fix these M1 bugs!

Thanks

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the exact version of Photoshop you're using along with your computers macOS version?

Please ensure that Photoshop has the necessary permissions on your Mac by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab.

2. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Photoshop is added to the list with a check mark in front of it.

3. If Photoshop is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder.

4. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility.

5. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop manually using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

Sounds like you're running an old version of Photoshop on an M1 Mac. Make sure you're running 23.1.1.
