Photoshop Generative Expand not working - Error 25

Hello,

I’ve been experiencing an issue when trying to use the Generative Expand feature. Every time I attempt it, whether I enter a prompt or leave it blank, I receive the following error message:

Error 25: Expected: ).

Line: 1

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

• The version of Photoshop you’re currently using

• Your operating system and version (e.g., Windows 11, macOS Sonoma)

• Whether this happens with all images or only specific ones?

• Did you try connecting to a different network, like a mobile hotspot? If not, please try and let us know if that helps resolve the issue.

This happens in both Photoshop Beta 27.0.1 release and Photoshop 2025 26.11.0, and my mac is up to date with Tahoe 26.0.1.

It seems to be happening most frequently with images that have a transparent background
