On startup Photoshop 25.1 pops up with Adobe Generator could not be loaded error message. Tried what I could on the link, trashing preferences and rolling back to Photoshop 24.7 but the error persists.
I have no malware or anti-virus software running, I suspect theres an issue with System Settings>Privacy & Security but its beyond me. is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!

I don't have an answer to this, but was about to post the same. 2 macbooks in my design team are no on Sonoma and image generator isn't working on either of them.

Hey @gregsmith I actually managed to fix this myself purely by accident in the end. In the creative cloud app if you navigate to all apps and click on the 3 dots for photoshop, i noticed there was an option to install rosetta, which i clicked and then it worked. I can only assume generator doesnt run natively yet. So ridiculously simple ive no idea why adobe arent making a bigger point of asking you to install it. Hope this helps.

Ah awesome! Thanks for letting me know!
For anyone else finding this, to install Rosetta, I clicked the 3 dots then clicked on Open (intel) from the dropdown menu. It then told me to install Rosetta, I went through it, and it's working.

I don’t use this feature regularly, but I just tried it and it’s working, images are automatically showing up in the expected folder.
Versions:
Photoshop 25.9.1
macOS 14.5 Sonoma
MacBook Pro M1 Pro (Apple Silicon of course)
Photoshop is not running under Rosetta and Generator is working, so if it still isn’t working for someone on Apple Silicon in the current versions, maybe check these things:
