Photoshop hangs when i drag and drop an image to a layer and also hangs while using selection tool

Hi,

I recently encoumtered an issue whith photoshop. When i drag and drop an image it crashes and shows a mixture of the home window and the tab that I am working on. I was using version 23.2. Tried the stable version 22.5.6 but still face the same issue. Please let me konw how to solve this issue

Try enabling this option in preferences and restarting Photoshop to see if it helps
