we are experiencing a systemic technical program issue with Photoshop while running scripts of multiple 1000s of files. We are working with new computers Intel Core i7 CPU2.90 on Windows11 with 16 RAM and hard disk space and the lastest version of PS.
There is a built-up on of the scratch disk files, so we increased the available ram, dimished the memory states in performance and allocated a special harddrive as as scratch disk of 5TB.
There are no other programs running other then Photoshop and still PS crashes
after a few hours. We didn't have this issue with previous versions of Photoshop,
where we were following the exact same procedure while running scripts 24/7.
We added purge to the script to no avail.
Any suggestions of how to resolve this ?
Thanks for the feedback

3 suggestions come to mind...
- try splitting your images into multiple folders
- launch your batches via Adobe Bridge
- set up a hot folder for photoshop to watch (though I'm not sure whether that is allowed use)

Photoshop is not great for batching large quantities of images.
What are the processing steps that the script performs?
