Just got the new iMac M1 two days ago. Latest photoshop installed and it keeps crashing when I am refining selections. I have to force quit and restart. Furthe issue is it won't save my customized tools....the one with the layers. It keeps defaulting.

Please ensure that your computer meets the new minimum CPU, GPU, RAM & HD requirements. Most current Creative Cloud apps work on:

  • Windows 10 versions 21H2, 21H1, 20H2, 2004, and 1909 (LTSB branches are not supported;)
  • macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur), macOS 10.16 or 10.15 (Catalina).

Well it’s a brand new IMac M1 so I’m assuming that I upgraded everything as maxed out as it can be so I’ve got to assume it’s compatible. I’ll check OS when I get home but I’ve got no notifications that updates are needed.

Crashes can be caused by graphics-ware.  Does your GPU have Metal Support and 1.5 GB of GPU memory?

Oh my this sounds so complicated. I'm not a tech person. I've never had any problems before with any computers. My old seven year old MacBook works better in photoshop than this. I'll follow the links and try to find the answers about this GPU stuff.
