Photoshop Lags When Internet Browser is Open

Hello, I have been trying for three days to fix this problem and am at my wit's end, I hope I can find some help.
I work on a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 hooked up to a 6-year-old MacBookAir, and have never had performance problems with photoshop that didn't take some tweaking of preferences to fix.

Suddenly a couple weeks ago I tried streaming my drawings on Twitch.tv, I expected PS to lag because the streaming software OBS takes up alot of CPU, but after my first couple of streams PS started lagging even when OBS wasn't open. I thought perhaps this was happening because I had an outdated OS system or an old version of PhotoShop CC. I updated to Photoshop 2020 CC and my Mac to 10.15 Catalina and still the problem persisted. I tried restarted and resetting my wacom tablet as well, I updated and re-installed the driver and no change occured in the performance. Ive also turned off the "Use Graphics Processor" Setting and again, the performance still lags whether using the Brush, Eraser, or Hand tool.

I've noticed that Photoshop only lags when there is an Internet Browser Open. Normally I use Google Chrome to play videos while I work, and a small lag occurs with the application open, and significantly worsens when a video plays. I've tried installing and using Firefox as well since I worried the problem was with CPU usage, but Firefox alone being open and and playing videos yields the same result as having Google Chrome Open. I also have the application Discord open all the time and having that and photoshop open causes no lag, so I think it's particularly having an internet browser open, especially one with a video playing, that's lagging PS. I'm not the most tech-y person so, I don't know if this is something with GPU or whatever else it could be.

If anyone can help (especially the sooner the better) I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you so much
-Genny

It could be a third party or other HTML5 plugin in Photoshop that is lagging due to your network connection.

Try this:

  1. Launch Photoshop while holding the Shift Key.
  2. It will ask if you want to skip the plugins say yes.
  3. Then launch your browser and see if it is still lagging.

Wow! I had to log in to comment that this absolutely works! Just so others with similar problem will know that this is the solution.

I had similar problem with Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign, they all lag very much whenever I switched between Chrome and said Adobe programs and it drove me crazy cuz I just got a new PC built so it sure wasn't because of poor PC performance.

Thank you!
