Photoshop layers corrupting on Mac after Ventura update.

Hello - I updated my Mac Studio 2022 (Apple M1 Max, 32 GB ram) to Ventura 13.5.1 and am now having a layers corruption issue in both Photshop Beta 25.1.0 and Photoshop 23.5.2.

When painting on a layer mask the results are blocky (see attached screen grab). Seems to happen with larger/more layered files (close to 1 gb). If I save the file and reopen, the affected layer will be empty and sometimes layers underneath it will be empty as well. Even if I don't save the file and reopen, Photoshop will initially display a corrupted version of the image (sorry, don't have a grab of that yet) - however that clears up upon zooming in.

As a test, I deactiviated "Native Canvas" in Beta but left it active in 23.5.2, but both versions continue to display the same problem.

I would reset the photoshop preferences and see if that makes a difference:
