At times Photoshop "New Document" will not open the modal/dialogue. Closing Photoshop will not fix the issue and actually introduces a NEW issue where trying to open Photoshop does nothing. Checking my Task Manager I see that the task for Photoshop is still running with ~1600Mb of memory usage and "Very high" power draw.
Ending the task through the Task Manager fixes the issue but it's been happening pretty much every time I leave photoshop open for an hour or so.
