Photoshop occasionally not allowing me to Save As only Save

I've had this issue for a while, but it only happens intermittently.

I work on a file for a while, then go to 'Save As' but Photoshop does nothing! It will allow me to 'Save' over the original file, but obviously some times I don't want to do that.

My work around is to duplicate the original file to another location, then 'Save' over the original with my new version - annoying but it thankfully works!

So, my question is, WHY is this happening?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, sometimes this happens when your file is heavy and has many effects which take some time to render so it happens otherwise maybe this is a bug and will be fixed in the next coming update..regards

Hi @vadaway sorry to hear this.  Have you tried to update to the recent release of 23.5 to see if that fixes this?

Thank you,
