I have a new Apple MacBook Air with the M1 chip.
I just ran updates through Creative Cloud and my Lightroom Classic app in my applications folder has the indication (Universal) and appears to be the current version 10.3.
Meanwhile Photoshop, in my applications folder, is 'Photoshop 2021' (Intel) and Creative Cloud updated that app to v. 22.4.3, which also seems to be up to date.
I understood that Photoshop runs native on the M1 chip.
I don't understand this.
Thanks for your consideration.

Thank you Jane. This clarifies my confusion. Guess I'll stick to Rosettas since most of the work is in Lightroom
