I am taking some classes on photoshop for the ipad.... it comes with sample photos to do projects with. After opening and closing 4 or 5 images effortlessly, when i go to open a 6th image, it just sits there and does not respond. I have to close photoshop completely and go back in and the same unopenable image then opens. Is this normal?

Hey, @jdval1. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.
Please include screenshots or video of your workflow to help us recreate this.
Are you working on a M1-based iPad? Does this happen with a specific document, or do all documents behave similarly?
I've tried to recreate this on iPad Pro (pre-Apple Silicon) where I recently reinstalled everything. Please share more details to help us identify this.
Thanks!

A screen shot won't work as it doesn't show anything. Not sure whatM1 based iPad is... it is an iPad Pro. I will see about doing a video so you can see but again, once i have opened 4 to 6 photos and gone back to the welcome screen, it won't let me load any more photos. Not sure if that is going to show anything.

Yes, I did.... and I have been on my iPad and doing classes and PS froze twice.... and again just did not open an image. This past time I had only had one image and was adding another for blending and it just sat there. I have the M2 chip (I figured out what your M1 question was LOL). My screen gets warm after I have been on it awhile (don't know if that matters). I am just unsure what is going on. If I was on a desktop I would wonder if it was my RAM slowing things down but I am by no means a computer person. Should I uninstall/reinstall? What is causing the instability of the program?
