Photoshop Reverts To Default Settings After Crashing Or Restarting My iMac

My Photoshop settings always revert to their default settings when photoshop crashes or when I need to restart my computer (iMac). This has been a concern for many years for many people. Does anyone know if there's a workaround? My operating system is up to date but my Photoshop is not. It would make zero difference if it was of course, because this problem has existed every time my operating sytem plus photoshop have been up to date.

I'm including before (preffered settings) and after screenshots to help highlight the issue. If there's no fix for it  all good. Any concrete advice however would be welcome.

You really need to find out why you have all this crashing. Typically and most often, that will be GPU-related.

Preferences are stored in your user account (separate from the program files), and they are rewritten on every application exit. In a crash, or any irregular shutdown, this won't happen, and so they are effectively reset.

If you get this on every restart, that means your system isn't shutting down properly.

I've had issues with PS freezing or crashing on different computers for years. I've had Adobe reps try to fix certain other issues through screensharing but there's always some problem. "If you get this on every restart, that means your system isn't shutting down properly." I thought restarting is an alternative to a computer shutting down? I was told my computer is getting old (Grapphics Card in particular) which is why I might be having these issues. It might be a bit old but it's got pretty good specs and I often work with large files.

Yes, but I notice every image tab here says "recovered". So there's a lot of crashing here.

From within Photoshop could you post the contents of Help>System Info?

Is there ever a dialog that comes up after a crash to send a report to Apple?

Yes that dialogoue or a message always comes up. Either for Adobe or Apple. I don't generally send anything through though, as I'm too dysregulated during them moments. I've lost plenty of work over the years that's not recoverable.
