Photoshop text tool not working

The text tool is not workimg!!! Im extremely frustrated after spending hours trying to fix this, iv resest the text tool, reset my preferences, and turned off graphics processor, all a million times. I even uninstalled photoshop and re installed it. I cant find any solution or even anyone else thats had this problems. Please please please help

"Not working" is vague and can mean several things. Please tell us what is happening. Include your OS version of Photoshop.

When did this start? Is it recent?
