I just got Photoshop yesterday and I'm using a Dell Latitude Laptop. I've tried to follow a few of the tutorials and my mouse cursors look different from the ones in the tutorials.

I also cannot cut after using the Quick Selection Tools.

Is it better to use a mouse as opposed to a keyboard mousepad?

Also is there a way to unlock the answers from the tutorials without getting the answers right?

What does your cursor look like? What does their cursor look like? Is Caps lock on? Are you using the same tool they are? There are a bunch of thing that can change the display of the cursor.

Do you see marching ants? Can you cut when you select with other selection tools?

No. It's a personal preference. I use both. Many people use a Wacom tablet.

I don't think so, but post a link and we can check.
