Photoshop uses a lot of storage

Hi!

Since I started using Photoshop I have always had the same amount of free storage (30GB) and everything has worked fine. Since two days ago I just can't do a simple 2000 x 2000 px image that Photoshop uses about 20GB of storage, and if I start doing anything on that image it starts taking another 1GB until I have a "full disk" error. When I close the app my free storage returns to 30GB.

I tried reinstalling the app and resetting the preferences, but none of this worked so far. Can someone please help me? I've never had this problem before and nothing changed on my Macbook or storage settings.

Also, I'm using the latest versions of softwares: MacOS Big Sur 11.6 and Photoshop 22.5.1.
