I recently updated my Photoshop to version 23.0.1 for Windows (I am using Windows 10 64bit), and it has been the most laggy, crashy, and freezing experience ever. Is anyone else experiencing this with the new updates?

Hi there,

Sorry about the trouble with Photoshop.

What is your system specification? Do we have any particular workflow for as and when the freeze happens or it is in general?
Can you try updating it to the latest version Photoshop 23.0.2 and check?

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Ranjisha

Hi, Photoshop 23 relies more on the GPU than its older versions. Users with old or less powerful Graphic cards, or using old drivers run into some issues with the new codebase. Please try to check "Deactivate Native Canvas" in the menu Edit/Preferences/Technology preview (Pc) or Photoshop/Preferences/Technology preview (Mac), then restart Photoshop.
This is not a fix, but rather a way to check if the issue appears only with the new technology.
