What OS version are you on? You can update CC 2019 for free, unless you have some old plug ins that are not updated.

Make sure your OS version & Adobe CC version fall within the system requirements.

Does this happens for all windows or only Files >> Scripts >> Load Files Into Stack? Also try turning off dark mode in the mac OS, it has been problematic.

Do you solved this issue ? I have the same problem. i have a macbook pro and a second screen. On the macbook i have the window in black but when i move the screen to the second screen the window is normal. only on the macbook i have this issue....
