Are you saving locally, across a network or an external volume?

To an external drive and my hard drive. It also usually saves to Lr too.

Well in your screen shot the Cloud Icon next to the File Name of that image suggest you are editing a file in the Clouds and trying to Save it back to the Clouds. Try using the Save As function and Selecting a folder on your computers hard drive. Does it save ok there? Then uploading it back to the cloud storage.

Up until the update yesterday, it always seemed to save a copy to the external hard drive and a copy to Lr. I haven’t changed my workflow and wasn’t aware it was saving it to the cloud. I’ve tried “save as” as suggested into various locations but have no luck unfortunately.
My workflow is to edit in Lr and then if further editing is required I use “edit in” from Lr and open in Photoshop, do the necessary editing and then, in the past I just hit “save” in Photoshop. That edit would then automatically be saved on my external hard drive and in Lr.

Kind Regards,

Grant Birley

Ironically, it seems to have rectified itself!! I have just logged on and edited a few images and it is now working as before - without me making any changes at all!! I am at a loss as to why it didnt work properly yesterday but I am stoked it has sorted itself out. Thanks for the help and advice!
