Hi!

I have exported a file from Lightroom into a folder on my desktop (Win 10, PC). The picture size is 300px x 6000px (w x h). In PS I created a new file with a pic size of 9000px x 6000px (w x h). When I drag the file from the desktop folder into the newly created file via the Win 10 exporer the small strip (300px x 6000px) shows up much smaller than the original picture size.

Instead, when opening the same file from Lightroom via Photoshop as a new file and then use Strg + A -> Strg C -> Strg V to place it in PS the picture size fits perfectly into the newly crated docoment.

I hope you can understand whta I mean... What is wrong here? Thanks.

While this shouldn't matter, make sure the resolutions are the same 72ppi, or whatever your using for your master document.

Is the image still 300 px x 6000 px in the new file? You can check by choosing Edit > Free Transform, then look in the options bar, followed by cancel.
