please help, im trying to separate the text from the hearts bit i dont know how

plese help me separate the text from the two hearts, i cant find anything on how to do it, i need to separate them and then make them very white and bright, or if you know how to just make them very white and bright that would be amazing too please and thank you

• Layer > Layer Mask > From Transparency 

• alt-click the Layer Mask-icon in the Layers Panel 

• set the Burn Tool to »Shadows« and use it to darken the »heart« to black (try being careful so as not to affect the edges of the letters in other places)

• Layer > Layer Style > Color Overlay
