Polygonal lasso tool delete point problem

In the Photoshop 23.4.1 polygonal lasso tool has a life of his own.
Normally when you make new points and make a mistake you press BACKSPACE to delete just one line.

In 23.4.1 sometimes it works and sometimes not.

When it does happen you can't even cancel all lines with ESCAPE key.

Forgot to add that this happens when you allready have a selection and will to refine it with polygonal lasso tooll using add to selection, substract or intersect.

I am having the same problem with 23.4.1.

I use the polygonal lasso all the time, it makes it impossible for me to work so I reverted to  will try to revert to 23.3.2. So far I don't have any issues with the lasso.
