I'm using the very latest version of PhotoShop that was updated just a few days ago. After working a very simple image with only about 4 layers and trying to Export to JPG I get a pop up that says "Can't export to this location. Select another location to continue" But I cannot figure out how to select a different location. and I don't even know what location it is trying to save it to. I did select save to computer instead of save to cloud. Can someone please tell me how to save this document. Incidentally, it saves fine as a PSD. I tried Save As, but after the update a few months ago it no longer gives me the option of Save As in the JPG.
Thanks for any help

Hi @Bull Rhino
Instead of "latest", please go to Help > About and give us the exact version.
Can you show a screen shot of the Save As dialog so we can see where you are trying to save it and give you better instructions?

In the newer versions of PS, you can use Save to save the PSD followed by Save a Copy to save a jpeg. You can also change the options in Edit > Preferences.

The exact version is 22.5.1.
Using your solution of "Save a Copy" solves the problem. I'll just use that instead of Export.
Thanks!

This change was forced by a change in macOS. As of 22.4.2 you can also revert to the previous behavior in Preferences > File Handling > File Saving Options:
