Problem with using Spot Healing Brush. Changes are not applied until making click on the layers list or moving the image. Dark spots just appear on the edited image after each click with Spot Healing Brush Tool, but the tool doesn't work (as you can see in the attached file). Editing occurs, but only after some other action has been performed. This makes my working almost impossible!
Using Photoshop v 23.3.2 on iMac with Catalina 10.15.7, problem exists when using either mouse or graphics tablet.
Tried renaming the Photoshop folder in Preferences, resetting the Spot Healing Brush tool, reinstalling Photoshop - none of that helps. Please help me fix this bug, it is impossible to use the program(

Forgot to write: everything works correctly on the background layer, but not on the other layers.

What is the blend mode of this layer set to?
Is it set to normal?

Jeffrey, thanks for your answer!
Yes, my blend modes are both set to "Normal"
The checkbox "Use Graphics Processor" in Preferences was already disabled, it is inactive on my computer at all.
As for the checkbox "Multithreaded Compositing" - I disabled it and restarted Photoshop, but unfortunately it did not work - the problem persists(

Hmm. Why was the graphics processor disabled? It should have been set to active if you restored your preferences.
If you reset your preferences using a keyboard shortcut or the preferences dialog, try this manual method:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
Does it work correctly?
If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
If it does solve the problem, I would like to get the folder of settings to try and figure out what is bad with them.
I want to make sure everything is at it's default state.
