Problems with Photoshop 2025

New Here ,
Mar 23, 2025 Mar 23, 2025

I use Windows 10. Use Photoshop only for image adjustments and manipulation.

Installed Photoshop 2025 and have 2 main problems.
1. After opening a jpeg image, if I crop the image and want to save it again in jpeg I cannot.. The "save as" option only shows PSD. I can only save in jpeg as a copy.
2. If I open a jpeg image, crop it, then want to adjust it using the Camera Raw Filter I see only in the Camera Raw window the full (original) image and not the cropped image.
I downloaded also the Photoshop 2024 version and the problem persists.
Only using Photoshop 2021 version can I obtain good results.
Thank you.

Hi @yaacov 25, It might be because the “Delete Cropped Pixels” option is not checked in the Crop Tool Options before you crop. Can you check and let us know if that makes a difference?

Thank you very much. Your suggestion solved the Camera Raw Filter issue.

"The "save as" option only shows PSD. I can only save in jpeg as a copy."- This is correct and as designed. You have two options-

1) Enable Legact Save As in Photoshop Preferences > File Handling, or

2025-03-24 07_46_07-Clipboard.jpg

2) Use the 'Export As...' dialog   [ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+W]   Menu > File > Export > Export As...

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/saving-images.html

Hint: If you set up the [Export As...] with your options then the Menu item [Quick Export as JPG] they become a default for future JPG saves without having to re-enter the [Export As...] dialog.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.2 Photoshop 26.3, ACR 17.2, Lightroom 8.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.2, .
