Hello,

I am on a Mac running Monterey.

When I first installed 2022, it wouldn't open. Then it began opening.

Today, it won't open again, giving the usual error message.

Help.

Thanks so much,

Guy

PS Should I just uninstall and reinstall?

Helllo Andrew,

I disconnected and reconnected my second monitor with no change. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled PS 2022.

That worked(?) I am back.

Thank you for coming to the rescue.

My very best,

Guy

I installed 2022.  It crashed immediately every time. I uninstalled - reinstalled - rebooted and repeat. Still crashing.  2021 works

Hi @Guy5EFB @michaelc4575

I am very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience.  Can you please provide details of your machine setup?

  • What hardware mac machine are you using? Apple Silicon/M1 vs Intel?  Mac Pro vs Macbook? Year?
  • Are there any external monitors or SideCar connected to your machine?
    • I had a similar Ps 2022 crasher with my external monitor.  I fixed it by disconnecting and reconnecting it.
  • Do you have the latest Creative Cloud Desktop installed?
  • Have you been submitting the crashers to both Apple and Adobe Crash Reporter?

I have uninstalled and then reinstalled Photoshop 2022 several times, and still does not open. Never had this happen before in many years of photoshop use.

Hi @bryant15436892 and @miked59640789 ,

Guy was able to resolve the issue.  Can you share a screenshot of the issue, Photoshop not opening the file?  Is there any error message being shown?

This is the error code I receive: Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer because the minimum system requirement is Mac OS X version.

I purchased the latest Macbook a few months ago and PS 2022 worked fine for a month or more.  Then one day it wouldn't open.  I have not been able to open it for over a month.  I have spent 13+ hours with Apple senior techs and my own research.  Nothing helps.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere Elements and Photoshop several times.  I "corrected" the Creative Cloud app, which seemed like it reinstalled on its own.

Premier Elements works fine.  Only Photoshop won't open.

Macbook Pro 10-inch, 2021

OS: Monterey 12.5

Chip: Apple M1 Pro

Memory: 16 GB

Thanks for your help!
