Anyone else experiencing this issue. After installing the newest ver. of PS: 24.1, when using the Camera RAW Filter on a smart object, I get a progress bar listing Camera RAW filter, but the program is frozen and requires a force quit (no matter how long I leave it the progress bar does not move). I did a restart, reset my PS preferences, it cleared it up for awhile. It usually does clear up after the force quit, too, but it startes doing it again soon after. OS 12.6.1. Macbook 16 M1 Max, 64gb RAM.

Go to Apple System Preferences/Security and Privacy and make sure Photoshop is added (and checked) in the Full Disk Acess list.

One other set of preferences to consider: Try resetting the Camera Raw preferences:
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

I've been having this issue for a couple years now and none of these recommendations have helped as of now Nov-2023
