In my current postion I have to make apparel proofs with screen printing and embroidery. I would like to find a texture that simulates embroidery....
Any thoughts?

I have an old video on youtube for running a brush on a path to look like embroidery. The techniques are exactly the same today.

Thanks. This will definately come in handy for some projects but I need something to make an entire logo look like its been embroidered. Think Nike or another well known logo that is embroidered into the clothing, that's the type of effect I need.

You could try making your own. Do the treads go every which way? I'm thinking scan in or take a picture of the embroidery, and make several versions of gray scale - light, medium and dark. Then you can use it as a texture overlay in a style and put color on top... Sounds really complicated.
I just looked for a pic to show you... stitching on all of the images is so different. I don't think it would look real...

Yeah, that's the problem. Sometimes I can use the stitchouts and put a mask on them but some are really detailed and not alwyas the correct color.
Thanks for your help.
