PS not saving Editable file

Hello, ive spent a lot of time building a business logo, and it won't let me save the file as an editable pdf with out updating photoshop. I was unaware it needed an update. If I update it, will it get rid of my work since I'm unable to save the file to my computer?

Hi!

Why don't you save it as a .psd file so you can come back and edit it? Then you can update and export it as a pdf.

What version of Photoshop are you working with?

Can you save the file as a photoshop native file (.psd)? That will let you keep your file intact once you update.

You're working on a business logo in Photoshop? Please be aware that Photoshopo is a pixel-based app and is not ideal for logo design. Being pixel-based means it is limited to a specific size for print, etc and cannot be used at any size (like would be possible with a vector graphic).

Adobe Illustrator is a vector design tool which is most appropriate for logo design.

PDF is a finished format and is not suitable for editing – use the original native file format – such as PSD or AI, and for distribution to others probably JPG or PNG may be better formats (though there may be disadvantages).
