I am saving a layered file as a PSD within photoshop and the file ends up as a PDF format.
Any reasones why this would happen?
Our IT department worked it out. It was a PC thing. The default settings for .PSD was set to PDF which effected the app saving the file correctly., they dont know why.
Thank you for all you help.

That is really odd. The only other thing I can think of to try is to use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.

I responded to another thread earlier today, that appeared to be having a similar issue, so I wonder if there is some sort of problem. These are often OS related, so it would be useful to know what OS and version your are using?
As much additional info would be appreciated.
i.e. does it show .PSD when saving?
Was this an original file or somethig opened in Photoshop, and if the latter, what format was it?
Does it open in other applications OK?
