Object selection is missing in the latest update 21.0. Same as previous before the latest update. Only 2 items listed, quick selection and magic wand.

If you have a custom toolbar , the update will not overwrite it. To see the select object tool - click on the three dots in the toolbar (or use Edit>Toolbar) and then Restore Defaults.

Thanks  for the help so far Barbara.  I've moved the 'Quick Selection Tool' to the 'Extra Tools' area & clicked 'done' but I still do not see it in my list of tools in the tool bar.

The quick selection tool seems to be greyed out in the extra tools region. If this is the problem, how do I fix it?

Hi Angie,

You have an older version. The Object Selection tool was new with Photoshop 2020.
