I am currently having trouble with my Quick Selection tool. It will allow me to select the object but when I try to move it to another picture it takes the entire picture with it instead of the object. Have I pushed a button I am not supposed to. It was working fine yesterday.. Help please I need to fix ASAP I have a wedding I am trying to finish this for

You have many options to move selected object. One option is Copy/Paste, another is to drag selected subject using the Move Tool - ensure that selection is active and proper layer is selected in the Layers panel. Another option is to duplicate selection on its own layer then to move that layer using drag and drop method or copy/paste...
Can you post screenshot with layers panel visible?

I would try @Bojan Živković's suggestion of copy paste.
If Photoshop is behaving weird, consider resetting the preferences to defaults.

Scrool down to Reset Photoshop preferences

Make sure that the Move tool is inside the selected area when moving the selection. If it is outside the selected area the whole layer will move.
