"we've temporarily disable filter because of an error" on specific image

I have read a number of posts about this issue, but none of the fixes work for me. I am running the latest PS and PS beta on a Win10 machine. I get this issue on one particular image and not others. I tried exporting a PNG of the image and applying the filter to it, but the same thing happens. PS doesn't like this particular image for some reason. Anything else I can try?

I should probably add that I am trying to use the Skin Smoothing and Smart Portrait on someone's face.
