Someone please help me. I was doing fine on my Photoshop and then googled up how to arc the text - I followed the instructions, creating a path and then using the text tool to hover over it and start typing. I did this twice, however the second time, it all got ruined and I'm not sure why. The last two characters in the text I wrote, " 's ", was scattered all over my project. In all my layers, and even in completely separate projects, the two characters were everywhere. I tried everything; went layer to layer and manually erased them all, but each time I finished and tried to move on with what I was doing, they would come up all over again. They won't stay gone.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Unfortunately this is no proper solution as it invalidates GPU dependent features (like the Rotate View Tool and some Filter acceleration for example) but it indicates problems with the GPU driver or the OS.
