Select and mask is USELESS.  It does not allow refinements to be seen within realk time.  It will not allow a selection to invert.  It will not allow a selection to have the edges smoothed. 

 

Whenever I have attempted to contact Adobe cstomer service on the past three occasions, I have been caused trauma with 90 minute plus waiting times and serial referrals fromn one Adobe employee to another who denys being about to do anything about the issue that I have rightful complaints about.  I have consistently adopted more than a reasonable level of common  courtesy with adobe employees who are paid a reasonable income toi refrain from injsulting me because I am an Australian.  I also find it utterly insulting how the adobe website request clarification on whether the account holder is from Australia or The United States.  This question would not be for the sake iof supplying me or any other AUSTRALIAN any service which is better than the service rendered to Adobe customers who live in the United States who would be longer term clients and who can also sue Adobe with greater ease because they do not have to travel on a plane for a minimum of 14 hours simply so they can represent themselves in an adeuqately controlled legal venue like a court or a tribunal.  

 

I find it difficult to believe that Adobe has not victimised me because I have complained about inadequacies of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Customer Service including adopting a system to put me at the end of the que whenever I attempt to get any type of assistance.  I do not appreciate being given non-specific "superfixes" by Adobe employees who presume that I am either a mindreader or that I have access to a whole officeful of  coworkers who can explain it for them when I cannot  understands directions that are unclear and probably make presumptions that I have a whole team of fallback support like they doi when I work in solitu.  On occasions that I have stated that I want a technician to connect to my computer via modem so the issue can be fixed faster, I have defied and treated as if I am Mr Nobody who does not count when reasonable desires are expressed.  Each time that the "Defy it" game has been played by Adobe personnel, I have had between 1 and 6 hours of my time wasted and the modem connected service ultimately was needed.  I am not paid money to have my time wasted Adobe or adobe personnel.  Adobe does not compensate anyione when iits personnel cause damage.  Adobe does not care about damage cxaused by its game playing personnel or its systems that are designed to render  a guise of customer service only whil.e causing money ti be debited from my credit card.  This is dishonest and is in fact fraudulenbt alctivity.  

 

I do not really expect any resolution from adobe as a result of ventilating this complaint.  I  am more likely to be targeted for more stonewalling and other types of victimization which is typical of the way way many big public companies will treat any member of the public who is not an activist but who complaints in public.  The only reason that I complain in a public forum is because the last three attempts that I have made toi communicate with appropriately qualified adobe personnel have been "stonewalled" by adobes automated systems which have flagged me as a "put it last in the que.:

2. You can invert the selection before you enter Select and Mask, or you can export to a Selection, invert, in reenter the workspace

3. There is a smoothing control
Show your Select and Mask Workpace if you don't see it.
